Viago is a 376-year-old vampire living in Te Aro, Wellington, with a couple of flatmates. Originally from Germany, and he was born as a human around 1632. After becoming a vampire, he fell in love with a young human woman named Katherine. She moved to New Zealand, leaving Viago with a locket, which he couldn’t wear because it was silver. Viago had his familiar to transport him to New Zealand in a shipping crate. However, the address was wrong and Viago’s arrival was delayed. When he arrived, she had found a new love.

Viago is the definition of a "dandy," and prefers to stay cleanly when he feeds. He prefers to make the last moments of his victim's life "nice" and to keep the blood off of his floors and clothing. He often fusses at his flatmates for neglecting the dishes or leaving "half-drunk" humans on the floor.

Vladislav is a powerful, 862-year-old vampire from Romania. claims he was turned into a vampire at the age of sixteen. He was a powerful warrior and earned the title of "Vladislav the Poker" for his acts of torturing enemies by poking them. He was once one of the most feared and powerful vampires in the world, but this ended after a battle with his ex and he became a shell of his former self.

Vladislav fancies himself as a bit of a player, constantly inviting vampire women to his room or seducing his human prey. He lives in a flat in New Zealand alongside Viago.

As a human, Laszlo was born somewhere in England in either the 17th or 18th century. He was considered the most handsome man in a village badly affected by leprosy and plague, though he also contracted leprosy himself. One night, the vampire Nadja flew into his window and seduced him, before transforming into a hideous creature, biting him and turning him into a vampire. As a vampire, Laszlo gained powerful hypnosis abilities and the unique ability to control and communicate with animals. Like most vampires, he could transform into a bat, but for some reason he prefers to yell "bat!" each time before doing so.

Laszlo is at least 300 years old, and reveals at one point that he was Jack the Ripper. He also has an extensive filmography of pornographic movies in which he plays vampire characters. He enjoys making music and topiary sculptures, especially of vulvas.

Nadja of Antipaxos is an over 500 year old vampire of Greek-Romani heritage. After becoming a vampire, she gained many lovers, most of them being reincarnations of Gregor, a man (and sometimes woman, mouse or horse) who led different lives but always died by decapitation, at one point due to her cutting his head off in a moment of passion.

One night, Nadja flew into the window of the English human, Laszlo Cravensworth, seduced him, drank of his blood, and turned him into a vampire. The two eventually married. Around 1861, the couple were driven out of Europe due to anti-vampire prejudice. They were shipped to the USA, where they today share a home with their roomates and familiars.

Nandor is an over 750 year old Iranian vampire, who was once a soldier in the Ottoman Empire. It was during his marriage to 37 women simoltaneously that he became a vampire. He gained the unique abilities of pyrokinesis[3] and being able to turn into vapor. Nandor eventually learned English, forgot how to speak Persian and failed to notice the dissolving of Al Quolanudar in 1401. He moved into a house with fellow vampires Nadja, Laszlo Cravensworth and Colin Robinson in Staten Island, New York.

Nandor applied for American citizenship in 1992, motivated to do so out of idolization for his five favourite basketball players: Johnson, Jordan, Bird, Barkley and Ewing, the starting line-up for the US Olympic men’s basketball team. He did not however complete the application process because he got distracted by the Macarena. Around 2009 he adopted a new human familiar, Guillermo, who has now worked for him for over ten years. The two have feelings of pining for one another, though they may not have accepted it yet.

As an energy vampire, Colin Robinson’s origin is unclear. According to his roommate Laszlo, Colin “came with the house” they reside in. He lived in the Staten Island residence with fellow vampires Laszlo, Nadja and Nandor from around the 1970s to his present age of 100. He works in an office and frequently feeds off his co-workers by boring them with inane conversations. Outside of work hours, Colin gains energy by aggravating his roommates and trolling people online.

Vlad "Dracula" Ţepeş is the father of Alucard, as well as the widower of Lisa Ţepeş. When Lisa was unjustly killed in 1475, Dracula grew to deeply resent humanity; he no longer considered them peasants, but he now considers them all animals he could no longer tolerate. she was the only true love he had ever known. Immediately after Lisa's bones burnt into ashes, Dracula rose from his wife's flames and demanded an explanation. He was enraged to learn that his wife had been killed out of unjust dogmatic stupidity.

Dracula proclaimed he would take everything from the citizen's of Wallachia and leave no signs they ever existed. Although he surely knew his wife wouldn't want him to take vengeance, his heart was now so embittered that it was filled with nothing but absolute misanthropy. Dracula believes that every human is guilty of his wife's death as none did try to stop the unjust murder, and hence when Alucard tried reasoning with his father to kill only those responsible, Dracula angrily refuted this. To Dracula, Lisa was the one good thing humanity had ever produced, and humanity had killed it.

Adrian Ţepeş, more commonly known by the pseudonym Alucard, is the son of Vlad "Dracula" Ţepeş and the late Lisa Ţepeş. He could be said to represent the best of both his parents. Like his father, he is intelligent and deadly in battle, yet he possesses his mother's class and kindness. Alucard is often calm and composed, slow to anger and other displays of emotion, even when in battle.

Alucard was born in the mid-1450's to Vlad Dracula and Lisa Ţepeş. Nearly twenty years later, in 1475, Lisa was falsely accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake. Upon learning that Dracula had begun summoning an army from Hell, 19-year-old Alucard confronted his father, begging him not to kill innocent people for revenge. When Dracula refused to listen, Alucard fought his father but was defeated, leaving him with a large scar on his chest. Beneath the city of Gresit, Alucard placed himself inside a coffin to recover his strength. A legend about him then spread, stating that a "sleeping soldier" awaited beneath Gresit. In 1476, at age 20, Alucard awoke to find a hunter, Trevor Belmont, and a scholar, Sypha Belnades.
